Veridenti is a password manager and identity-protection tool. Your vault is encrypted on your device with a key only you hold — so if you lose your master password and your recovery key, no one, including us, can recover your data. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. We own the software and brand; you own your data. The Service is provided “as is.”
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Veridenti, LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“Veridenti,” “we,” “us”). By installing or using the Veridenti browser extension or any related service (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Veridenti stores logins and other secrets in an encrypted vault, fills forms and passwords, generates and manages masked email addresses, and warns you about phishing and known breaches. Some features run entirely on your device; some optional features (cloud sync, the breach feed, billing) use our servers. Features vary by plan.
3. Your vault, encryption, and the risk of data loss
Please read this carefully. Veridenti is zero-knowledge: your vault is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your master password, which we never receive or store. This is a security feature, but it has a consequence — if you forget your master password and lose your recovery key, your vault cannot be recovered, by you or by us. We cannot reset your password or decrypt your data. You are responsible for safely keeping your master password and recovery key, and we are not liable for data you can no longer access as a result.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account or on your device. We recommend exporting a backup and storing your recovery key somewhere safe.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals
Veridenti offers a free tier and paid plans (currently Plus and Family). Paid plans are recurring subscriptions billed monthly or annually through our authorized payment processor, which acts as the merchant of record and handles applicable taxes.
- Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price at the end of each billing period, until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You may cancel any time from the billing portal (Settings → Manage subscription). Cancelling stops future renewals; your plan stays active through the end of the paid period.
- Price changes. We may change prices; changes apply to renewals after reasonable notice.
- Trials. Where a free trial is offered (for example, the Estate / Legacy Vault trial), it becomes paid only if you choose to subscribe.
5. Refunds
Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable, including for partial periods. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@veridenti.com and we will review it in good faith.
6. Family plans
A Family subscription covers up to five (5) people. The subscriber (the “organizer”) may invite and remove members and is responsible for their family group and for the members they invite. Members’ access is provided through the organizer’s subscription; if that subscription ends, members’ access ends. Sharing a family plan beyond your household, or reselling or redistributing seats, is not permitted.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; access accounts or data you are not authorized to access; interfere with or disrupt the Service; probe or circumvent security or plan limits; or reverse-engineer, decompile, copy, resell, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted by law.
8. Intellectual property
Our rights. The Service — including its software, source code, design, and the Veridenti name and logo — is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended; no other rights are granted. The fact that a browser extension’s code is readable does not grant any license to copy or reuse it.
Your data. You own the content you store in your vault. We claim no ownership of it and, because it is encrypted with a key only you hold, we cannot read it.
9. Third-party sites and services
Veridenti works on websites and can connect to optional third-party services you configure (for example, a masked-email provider). We are not responsible for third-party sites or services or their content; your use of them is governed by their terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will detect or block every phishing attempt or breach, or that it will prevent all unauthorized access. Security tools reduce risk; they do not eliminate it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and remove the extension at any time; you can export your vault first. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
