Turn on Cloud Sync
Why
Your vault lives on your device. Cloud Sync keeps an encrypted copy in step across every browser you use — and gives you a way back in if you forget your master password. It's your backup, too.
What it is (and how it stays private)
Sync stores your vault only as ciphertext — unreadable without your master password. Veridenti's server never holds your key or your plaintext. Your device always keeps a complete local copy, so it keeps working even if the network (or our backend) is down.
Turn it on
- Open Settings → Security & sync.
- Enter an account email and your master password, then continue. If you don't have an account yet, Veridenti offers to create one.
- When the account is created, Veridenti shows your recovery key — save it (below).
Save your recovery key
Because only you can unlock your vault, creating a sync account gives you a 12-word recovery key — your backstop if you ever forget your master password.
- Click Copy words, or Download PDF to save a branded Recovery Kit you can print.
- Store it offline and separately from your devices (a printed copy in a safe). Anyone with these words can unlock your vault, so keep it private.
On your other devices
Install Veridenti on the other browser, open Settings → Security & sync, and sign in with the same account email and master password. Your vault restores from ciphertext.
