Family protection
Why it's there
The people most targeted by scams are often the least comfortable asking for help. Family protection lets someone you trust keep a gentle eye out — without ever seeing your passwords or accounts.
What it is
A one-way, encrypted health snapshot you choose to share with a family helper (a "guardian"). They can see that you might need help; they can never see your vault.
Connect a family helper
In Safety → Family protection, either:
- Send an invite — enter their email and Veridenti sends a one-tap link they accept, or
- Make a pairing code — read them the short code and have them enter it in their Veridenti.
What a helper can — and can't — see
- ✅ Can see: a simple status — All good, Quiet (not seen in a while), or Needs help — plus counts like how many passwords need attention and scams recently blocked.
- ❌ Can never see: your passwords, your accounts or the sites you visit, or any vault contents.
Only counts and status are shared, sealed with the helper's key so only their device can read them. You can Stop sharing at any time; scam alerts can continue even if you turn health-sharing off.
NoteThis is visibility, not control — a helper is alerted so they can reach out, but they can't change or unlock your vault. Protecting your independence is the point.
